Set off

  • Means: start a journey
  • EX: She and I set off on our first vacation this evening.

Check in

  • Means: Process of registering oneself at arrival in hotel or airport.
  • EX: Please, before checking in remember to ask what they offer.

Check out

  • Means: Process of paying bills before leaving hotels.
  • EX: Remember to take necessary things before checking out of the hotels.

Take off

  • Means: that an airplane leaves the ground and starts to fly.
  • EX: My brother loves taking off airplanes.

Call off

  • Means to cancel
  • EX: She decided to call off her trip to Germany

Pick up

  • Means: to arrive somewhere to take someone from one place to another, usually by car, or bike.
  • EX: Could you please pick up my father from the airport?
