Future Continuous Tense

Definition: It describes an ongoing action that will be happening in the future at a specific time.

Example: Julia will be going home.

Sentence structure

  • Positive = Subject + Will be + Present Participle + Object
  • Negative = Subject +Will not be + Present Participle + Object
  • Interrogative = Will + Subject + Be + Present Participle + Object?
  • Negative Interrogative = Won’t + Subject + Be + Present Participle + Object?

  • Will not = Won’t
  • Present Participle is a verb form that is also known as “Gerund” It’s used for continuous tense “Verb + ing” ending.

Positive Sentences

  • They will be traveling to Brazil.
  • She will be studying all night in June.

Negative Sentences

  • Anna will not be coming home this Sunday.
  • I will not be going to school from 21 December.

Interrogative Sentences

  • Will workmen be working all day in the Winter?
  • Will she be talking about the issues with him?

Interrogative Sentences with (questions word)

  • What will the Plumber be fixing tomorrow?

Negative Interrogative Sentences

  • Won’t he be playing the guitar for them?
