The preposition “at-on-in” in this lesson is used concerning “Place”
The proposition of Place indicates positions, there are a few prepositions but the most common of them are “at, on, in,” and that’s what we will learn thoroughly.
Part 1: if you want to talk about a particular point or place you can use “At”
- EX: She’ll be waiting for you at the Oxford library.
- EX: My boss is at the door.
- EX: My husband is at work, may I take any message for him?
Part 2: “On” above in the table is used related to transportation and place. Remember when something is with a surface we can use “On”
- EX: We all are on the bus, you miss the bus trip with us.
- EX: She’s not using a mobile, but she and I are watching a movie on the TV.
- EX: They love riding on the horse.
Part 3: “In” is used when something/someone is inside of something.
- EX: I can’t believe I am in the Helicopter.
- EX: I think this is Julia in the car/taxi over there.
- EX: Hey, What’s new in the newspaper today?
Remember: if you are “inside” something without walking that’s “in” for example: She’s going in the car. but if you are inside but on that thing then we can “on” for example: He’s is on the bus not in the bus.
